FAQ's for GVC's Corporate Food & Beverage Service
Exactly how does GVC work with our company – what’s different from any other outside consultant?
GVC provides the perfect way for you to OUTSOURCE your corporate F&B.
Think of us as your “internal” consultant. In fact, if you like, provide GVC with a company email address, company business cards and a company phone number with voicemail. For example, 12 months a year, GVC will respond to queries and challenges directly from your properties or your regional managers or in any manner you wish. Ned will communicate constantly with whomever you designate within your company.
What range of services does GVC provide?
GVC has direct experience with most of the services described on this site. However we also have access to and uses other professional resources when appropriate. For example, if concept development also involved a dining area re-design, GVC would recommended criteria for dining room design, even for décor, tabletop and service “touches” – but a designer or architect would have to be hired independently. On many projects Ned consults with peers, culinarians and other industry experts at no additional cost to the Client.
How long is a “day”?
As long as it takes. Your business does not run 9-5 and neither do we. We pride ourselves on providing a high level of productivity for our Clients.
Will someone from GVC fill in as my F&B Director at a single property temporarily?
The best use of your money and our time is to give GVC the challenge, when appropriate, of sourcing a temporary fill-in for you. Financial arrangements would be made between you and the candidate with no markup or additional charges sought by GVC.
We need a menu concept with recipes and theoretical food cost analysis, implementation guidelines. How long will it take? What GVC runs “overtime”?
Prior to beginning ANY project, and especially prior to scheduling the first full week in the first quarter, GVC will work with your company to create a productive strategic plan for the use of GVC’s time. YOU will drive the agenda, and when the plan is complete there will be a time budget or cap for each project which, if surpassed, will not result in additional charges.
